The stakes

A door either holds, or it doesn’t.

Most doors are sold on how they look. The trouble starts the day one gets tested: for a home that’s a break-in, for a building it’s a failed inspection and the liability that follows. The door is the cheap part. It’s everything behind it that’s at risk.

The weakest point

The front door is the most-targeted way into a home, and the one most often under-built.

The legal line

A fire or security door that isn’t certified is a liability sitting in your building, waiting to be found.

Looks aren’t security

Plenty of doors pass the eye test, then fail the only test that actually counts.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

How long does a new door take?

From survey to install is typically four to six weeks, because every door is made to order in our workshop. We confirm exact timings at the survey stage.

Do you fit doors you didn’t manufacture?

In most cases we fit doors we’ve made ourselves, so one team stands behind the whole job: the build and the install. For some commercial contracts we’ll assess existing or third-party doors; ask us at survey.

What’s the difference between RC2, RC3 and RC4?

They’re certified resistance classes under BS EN 1627. RC2 resists opportunist attempts with basic tools, RC3 a determined attacker with more leverage, and RC4 sustained attack with power tools. We recommend the right class for your risk at survey.

Can you handle commercial fire-door compliance?

Yes. We supply and install certified fire doors from FD30 to FD90, with the documentation and labelling your building control or responsible person needs. Compliance is part of the spec, not an afterthought.

What guarantee comes with the door?

Every door carries a manufacturer’s guarantee, with up to a 10-year guarantee on our higher security classes. Because we make and fit in-house, one team stands behind both.
